Boro boost their hopes of a spot in the play-offs

BORO Rangers gave their chances of finishing in a Northern League play-off spot a major boost with victory over fellow contenders Blyth Town.
Results elsewhere meant that defeat would have seen the hosts fall out of the top five in their final home game of the season with four on the road to follow.
Goals from Callum Hickman and Ben Turner meant that, despite having four out with suspension and facing the side in third, the Teessiders ran out 2-0 winners against their Northumbrian counterparts.
Another three points on the board continued a strong end to the season for a Rangers side who have now lost just one in their last nine in their bid to compete for promotion into step four.
Third-placed Blyth have had quite the season since winning Division Two last season. A run of eight undefeated was halted against Guisborough Town to start the month, with Saturday making it two defeats in four.
