On the evening of October 31, 2024, a tragic shooting occurred in Delhi's Shahdara district, resulting in the deaths of 40-year-old Akash Sharma, also known as Chottu, and his 16-year-old nephew, Rishabh Sharma. Akash's 10-year-old son, Krish Sharma, sustained injuries during the incident. The attack took place around 8:00 PM outside their residence in the Farsh Bazar area, where the family was celebrating Diwali. According to eyewitnesses, two assailants approached Akash Sharma, touched his feet—a gesture traditionally signifying respect—and then opened fire. Both Rishabh and Krish, who were nearby, were also struck by bullets.
