Recognizing the critical importance of financial education, the Olympiad seeks to equip students with essential money management skills from an early age. Founded by Shiv Bidani and Mitul Mehta, former classmates and ex-VITians with a shared passion for entrepreneurship, the initiative addresses the alarming lack of financial literacy among Indian students.
The National Finance Olympiad functions through a competitive format, inspiring young students to engage with financial concepts in an exciting and accessible manner. With over 100 schools and 5000 students participating in the 2023 academic year, the Olympiad has demonstrated its effectiveness in fostering financial learning among students. Notable schools such as The International School Bangalore, The Presidency School, and National Public School have been actively involved in promoting financial education through this initiative.
