GOVERNMENT MAKES PROGRESS ON PUBLIC GRIEVANCES, OVER 50% RESOLVED ON CPGRAMS

The central government portal of public grievances resolved 69,166 grievances during the first 15 days of June, according to the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions. The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) reported that it received a total of 1,35,642 grievances during this period, disposing of 69,074 grievances while 66,568 remain pending.

The DARPG also published a list of the top five ministries and departments in terms of the number of grievances redressed. Leading the list was the Department of Rural Development, which resolved 21,614 grievances. Following this, the Ministry of Labour and Employment addressed 7,324 grievances. The Department of Financial Services (Banking Division) resolved 6,206 grievances, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (Income Tax) handled 2,890 grievances, and the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) addressed 2,296 grievances.
