With India poised to double it’s agricultural exports -- currently at about USD 53 billion -- to USD 100 billion and processed food exports logging 150 percent growth over the last nine years, the Government is looking to tap the country’s potential to captivate global markets.

Outlining the vision for India’s diverse food industry while inaugurating the ‘Indus Food 2024’, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal noted that this fiscal, the country’s agri exports will be more than last year’s level of USD 53 billion despite restrictions imposed on shipments of certain key commodities, including rice, wheat, and sugar.
