PETROLEUM MINISTER PRAISES INDIA'S PROGRESS TOWARD ENERGY SECTOR SELF-SUFFICIENCY

Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, has praised India’s strides toward achieving self-sufficiency in the energy sector, emphasizing the significant developments in refining and production capabilities. In a recent update on social media platform “X,” Puri outlined the government’s ongoing efforts and projects that reflect the country’s commitment to bolstering its energy infrastructure.

Expanding Refining Capabilities

Puri commended the advancements in the expansion of refining capacities at key locations across India. He highlighted the substantial investments being made in the Barauni, Panipat, and Gujarat refineries. The expansion projects are part of a broader strategy to enhance India’s energy security and self-reliance.
