Flowers can talk..
The Citizen|November 30, 2024
It was like an early festive gift: the duet between Boy George and Peter Murphy, Let The Flowers Grow, is one of the most emotionally charged, meaningful tracks to have been released for a very long time.
Hein Kaiser

It's in stark contrast with the torture of modern R&B and hip-hop and bubble gum pop.

Let The Flowers grow feels deeply personal, and not just because the duet's performance sows melancholy and joy at the same time but it speaks universally to every one of us on an emotive level. It's the lyrics. It's poetry - and it flowed from Boy George's soul.

It's the duality between the darkness and light, Murphy and George's voices like a conversation of two sides of the same person. Our own Jekyll and Hyde.
