Following an odds-on reverse on her seasonal debut, Kateira can reward those who keep the faith in the Racing TV Mares' Hurdle at Kempton today.

Kat is out of the bag at Kempton

Dan Skelton's charge has won four times over obstacles and rounded off last season with a career-best performance when landing a competitive handicap at Aintree's Grand National meeting.

On the strength of that form, she was a warm order for her reappearance in the Grade 2 bet365 Hurdle at Wetherby three weeks ago, and she was still bang in contention when a bad mistake two flights from the finish put her firmly on the back foot. In the end, she was beaten just under five lengths into third place by the Irish-trained winner Beacon Edge on what was only her second start over 4800m, which may slightly stretch her stamina.
