It is probably good for the economy that the inflation rate has dramatically decreased from 3.8% in September to 2.8% in October.

Relook the increases of pensions

For pensioners, however, this is appallingly bad news. I am writing especially about pensioners who receive pensions of R20 000 or less per month.

How on earth could the inflation rate drop from 5.5% in November 2023 to the 2.8% presented to us now?

Some vegetables have increased by 40% in three months. There is a snake in the grass. Perhaps an economist can explain this puzzle to us.
