Percussionist and singer Thabang Tabane died on Wednesday morning after a short illness.
Long-time collaborators and friends confirmed his death to The Citizen. They didn’t want to speak on the record out of respect for his family, who hadn’t given consent.
The Citizen has contacted his family for comment, and the story will be updated once they respond.
