During the AAP legislators' meeting on Tuesday, senior leader Dilip Pandey suggested that Kejriwal should select the next Chief Minister. Kejriwal then proposed Atishi Singh, and the MLAs unanimously supported her, leading to her election as the leader of the legislature party.
Atishi has been pivotal in reforming Delhi's education system. She represents AAP leader and Delhi CMdesignate Atishi stakes claim to form the new government before Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena, at LG Secretariat in New Delhi on Tuesday. ANI the Kalkaji constituency and became a minister after former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was arrested in connection with a corruption case linked to Delhi's liquor policy.
After being elected as the new Chief Minister of Delhi, Atishi addressed the media, stating that her primary focus in the coming months would be working towards reinstating Arvind Kejriwal as Chief Minister after the next elections.
