Article 370 has become a thing of past, asserts Amit Shah
AJAY JANDYAL

The BJP on Friday unveiled its election manifesto, the Sankalp Patra, for Jammu and Kashmir during Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s two-day visit to the region. Shah while releasing the manifesto underscored the transformative progress under the current government, particularly the revocation of Article 370, which he stated had previously hindered the implementation of crucial reservations.

Shah highlighted the Modi-led government’s commitment to inclusive development, noting that new reservations have been introduced for historically marginalised communities such as OBCs, Gurjars, Bakarwals, and Pahadis. He also announced the BJP’s plan to issue a white paper aimed at holding accountable those responsible for the rise of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.

Shah stated that Article 370 is a thing of past and will never return again.
