In a significant step Itoward advancing renewable energy adoption, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal, has launched a unique 'Solar Portal' to make rooftop solar installations easy and accessible for Delhi residents.
The portal, available at solar.delhi.gov. in, is a cornerstone of the Delhi Solar Policy, designed to help citizens seamlessly transition to solar energy. The Delhi Solar Portal is a comprehensive online platform aimed at facilitating rooftop solar adoption for both residents and businesses in the capital. This initiative is part of the Delhi Solar Energy Policy, which targets achieving a cumulative rooftop solar capacity of 750 MW within the next three years.
At the launch of the 'Solar Portal,' Chief Minister Atishi highlighted that the platform allows users to access subsidies, install rooftop solar panels, and apply for generation-based incentives-all from the comfort of their homes.
