This week is concluding with a complex situation regarding the two ongoing conflicts. On one side, Trump and Putin engaged in a dialogue lasting more than 90 minutes, aiming to explore potential solutions for ending the Russia-Ukraine war. Conversely, Israel launched an attack on Hamas, thereby violating the ceasefire agreement, citing Hamas's failure to release its captives as the justification for their actions.

This week, Trump and Putin engaged in a phone conversation concerning the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Following their discussion, both leaders reached a consensus to pursue peace, initiating with a ceasefire focused on energy and infrastructure, along with technical discussions aimed at establishing a maritime ceasefire in the Black Sea.

In the aftermath of the call, Putin committed to suspending attacks on energy infrastructure in Ukraine for a period of 30 days, as confirmed by a statement from Russia. However, he did not fully endorse a more extensive 30-day ceasefire proposal supported by the U.S., which Ukraine has expressed its willingness to implement.

Ukrainian President Zelenskyy initially expressed his willingness to endorse the U.S. initiative aimed at ceasing assaults on Russian energy facilities. However, he cautioned that Russia is trying to prolong ceasefire discussions and undermine Kyiv's position. Zelenskyy urged Ukraine's allies to exert pressure on Russia to agree to a peace agreement by implementing sanctions and other strategies, while also advising them to dismiss any requests from Russia to halt military assistance. European leaders expressed their commitment to further enhance their support for Ukraine.
