The bench comprising of Justice Surya Kant, Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice Ujjal Bhuyan was hearing the present matter.
The Solicitor General Tushar Mehta mentioned the matter, wherein he requested for time saying that out of 9 review petitions, the Union had copy of only 1.
The Solicitor General Tushar Mehta stated that, 'there being two issues, apart from the fact that we need some time to prepare and out of 9 review petitions, only 1 is with us...we do not have the 8...we will take a copy, we are not raising issue on that...they may have served on central agency, there is some problem.'
The said request was strongly opposed by Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal appearing for review petitioners, wherein it is stated that, 'This has been going on for two long.'
Before the Court, the Senior Counsel claimed that what the SG Tushar Mehta was referring to were mere impleadment applications and the petitioners were ready to argue.
