The BMC must expedite the process to build the road, proposed under the Development Plan (DP) 2034, connecting the east and west sides of Dadar, demanded NGO Chakachak Dadar, which works for betterment of Dadar and welfare of its residents.
Writing to the civic body in this regard, it underlined that the lack of an efficient east-west connectivity route is worsening the problem due to bottlenecks on Senapati Bapat Marg.
The road, which will link Senapati Bapat Marg in Dadar West to Dadasaheb Phalke Marg in Dadar East, is crucial to address traffic congestion in one of the busiest areas of Mumbai, asserted the NGO.
A part of the 'Comprehensive Mobility Plan', the road will span approx 800 metres in length and 60 feet in width.
