By providing some relief to a large number of Punekars from traffic woes, the two metro lines also saw a significant rise in ridership and revenue in 2024. The numbers paint a positive picture, as Punekars chose public transport in large numbers last year, with a total ridership of 4.57 crore, a significant figure compared to the 44 crore Punekars who used PMPML buses in the last financial year.
