Under Good Governance Week and Jankalyan Abhiyan, a consumer guidance centre was established in the city on Tuesday. The centre will protect consumers from fraud and make them constantly aware of their rights, to protect and promote their interests. The centre is the first such centre of the state.The centre has been established on the occasion of National Consumer Day on Tuesday. It has been inaugurated in room number 220 of the Collector office. Through this centre, necessary help will also be provided in relation to filing a complaint in the Consumer Forum.Vikas Rai, Chairman of Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission No. 01 and 02 inaugurated the centre. The members of Commission No. 02, Kundan Singh Chauhan and Shailendra Singh and Member of Commission No. 01, Nidhi Barange were the special guests of the programme. Additional collector Gaurav Benal presided over the programme.The chief guest of the programme, Vikas Rai called this innovation a unique project of the country and the state. He said that the centre was very much needed in today's time. This centre will be very helpful in protecting the rights of consumers. He said that consumers will get a lot of help in filing complaints through the centre. They will not have to wander and get troubled.
