In a recent statement that has stirred conversations around the future of Test cricket, former West Indies captain Clive Lloyd voiced his strong opposition to the proposed two-tier Test system aimed at facilitating more matches between the dominant cricketing nations-India, Australia, and England.

Lloyd cautioned that such a system would be detrimental to nations like the West Indies, who have worked tirelessly to earn their Test-match status. "I think it will be terrible for all those countries who work so hard to get to Test match status and now they'll be playing among themselves in the lower section," he asserted, reflecting the concerns of many stakeholders eager to preserve the integrity of the sport.
