West Discom: Rs 9,300 cr power subsidy likely to be distributed by March

This financial year, about 48.25 lakh electricity consumers of West Discom have received subsidy benefits and it is expected that by the end of March this year, the total subsidy disbursed would exceed Rs 9,300 crore, with over Rs 7,000 crore already distributed so far.

Rajani Singh, managing director of the West Discom, stated that all eligible consumers were receiving subsidies. Indore district led with the highest number of 6.5 lakh beneficiaries followed by Ujjain, Dhar, Dewas, Khargone and Ratlam. Subsidies were being distributed regularly across all districts in the region, she said.
