After Karnataka debacle, BJP plans for 2024 LS poll

The BJP is back in business of politics in Karnataka after the humiliating loss in the recent Assembly election to the Congress.

The saffron party has already started strategising for the 2024 Lok Sabha election. Karnataka has always been voting differently for the state and the national elections and this is what the BJP plans to exploit.

Past records and voting patterns show the voters in the southern state traditionally opt for different parties in state and national elections.

The BJP, which had failed to secure a majority in the 2018 assembly poll — winning 104 seats with a 36%vote share — bagged 25 Lok Sabha seats in the 2019 general election with a 54% vote share.
