Ahmedabad sees 9 murders in 20 days

The festive season in Gujarat has given way to a grim reality in Ahmedabad, where an alarming rise in violent crimes has raised concerns about the city's law and order.

Over the past 20 days, Ahmedabad has recorded nine murders, exposing deep-seated issues and prompting a serious response from law enforcement authorities. The city police, led by Commissioner G S Malik, have launched measures to address this spike, including the suspension and transfer of negligent officers.

Details of the Murders:

The wave of violence began on November 10 with the tragic murder of Priyanshu Jain, a student of the Mudra Institute of Communications (MICA). Jain was fatally stabbed by a police constable following an argument over rash driving in Bopal.
