Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan, has urged the central government to provide substantial financial assistance for the development of tourism projects in the state. During a recent meeting with Union Tourism Minister, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, in Delhi, Kalyan discussed various tourism initiatives and sought the central government's support.
During the discussion, Pawan Kalyan emphasized the need for robust central support to transform Andhra Pradesh into a leading tourism hub. He highlighted the potential of several tourism projects in the state, including the development of Gandikota, the Godavari River (Akhanda Godavari), and Suryalanka Beach. He requested the immediate release of Rs. 250 crore under the 'Special Assistance to State Capital Investment (SASCI)' package, which was sanctioned for these projects.
