In a big win for the BMC, the Supreme Court has rejected the decision of the Bombay High Court (HC), which directed the civic body to transfer a six-acre land parcel in Lower Parel to Century Textiles and Industries Ltd.
According to the 2024-2025 ready reckoner rates, the estimated value of the land is approximately Rs660 crore.
After the top court's directives, the civic body initiated the process of acquiring the land and its officials visited the site on Thursday to assess its current condition.
