The bridge weighs 3,000 metric tonnes and is 18 metres tall and 14.9 metres wide, an NHSRCL official said, adding it was fabricated in Wardha and transported on trailers to the site for installation.
“The bridge fabrication utilised approximately 124,246 torshear type high strength bolts with C5 system painting and metallic spherical bearings, all designed for a 100year lifespan,” the official said.
