CM Sidda appears before Lokayukta, BJP calls it a farce

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah deposed before Lokayukta police in Mysuru in connection with the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) land scam where his wife BM Parvathi is a beneficiary.

This is the first time in Karnataka that the CM appeared before any investigating agency while in office.

Coming out of two hour questioning by investigating officer and Mysuru Lokayukta Superintendent of Police TJ Udesh, the CM said that he answered all their questions.

"I told them the truth," he said with a smile on his face. The CM is the accused number one in the case where his wife, an accused number two, is allotted 14 plots by MUDA in lieu of her 3.16 acres of agricultural land acquired by the latter.
