Chairing the 100-day programme for the Urban Development Department (UDD), Fadnavis asked the officials to strengthen municipal corporations across the state on corporate lines.
UDD’s additional chief secretary Asim Kumar Gupta said this is achievable by empowering the planning authorities, besides focusing on road development in 3,500 villages near big cities and digitising the process of granting building permits. Fadnavis noted that capital-intensive infrastructure development needs innovative financial options.
