Amit Shah-HDK Meeting: Late on Saturday night, Union Home Minister Amit Shah met former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy and assured the latter that Prajwal's sex tapes row will have no impact on the alliance with the JD(S).
Sources close to Kumaraswamy said that Shah is said to have assured that BJP will rally behind both JD(S) and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda.
The meeting took place at the Taj West End Hotel. Sources said that Kumaraswamy in turn assured Shah that the JD(S) will take strong action against Prajwal.
The MP has been already suspended by the party and a showcase notice has been served on Revanna.
Meanwhile, the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court on Sunday remanded former minister and JD(S) MLA HD Revanna in the custody of the Special Investigation Team for three days.
