HC's orders ignored as cattle continue to block roads

Despite stern warnings from the High Court of Chhattisgarh, efforts to remove cattle from the roads remain superficial. During a surprise inspection on Thursday late evening, Divisional Commissioner Mahadev Kawre found cows and buffaloes sitting on various stretches of the Bilaspur-Takhatpur road, causing significant traffic disruption.

Commissioner Kavre inspected the Sakri and Nehru Nagar areas along the Bilaspur-Takhatpur route, where herds of cattle were blocking roads from Nehru Chowk to Uslapur and beyond Kanan-Pendari. Many parts of the road were nearly impassable due to the large number of cattle, prompting the commissioner to express strong dissatisfaction with the lack of action.
