Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday claimed its national convener and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has lost 8.5kg weight in Tihar Jail and that “BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are conspiring to keep him in jail as well as to play with his health”.
Kejriwal was arrested by the ED in the Delhi liquor policy case on March 21 and had at the end of ED custody gone to Tihar Jail on April 1. He had then remained in jail till May 10, when the Supreme Court granted him interim bail till June 1 to let him campaign for the Lok Sabha election. He returned to the jail on June 2 and has been there since despite the SC again granting him interim bail recently as CBI arrested him in the same case on June 26.
