On Sunday, the commission conducted an in-depth inspection of the violence-affected areas, including the mosque itself, where confrontations and stone-pelting led to tragic consequences. The violence claimed five lives and injured 19 police officers.
A.K. Jain, former DGP and member of the commission, confirmed that the investigation commenced on November 24 and is set to last for two months. Jain emphasized the commission’s dedication to identifying the underlying causes behind the unrest.
