Azad Maidan police recently filed an FIR against a lawyer for cheating and forgery. Vinay Kumar Khatu allegedly provided the complainant, 74year-old Urmila Talyarkhan, with a fake Bombay High Court order bearing the names of Judge Sandeep K Shinde and Judge Madhav J Jamdar, and defrauded her of Rs2.3 crore.
According to the FIR, Talyarkhan, a Delhi-based businesswoman, purchased an acre (42.3 gunthas) of land in Alibaug from one Kailas Agarwal in 1998 for Rs20 lakh.
