Condemning the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by the Enforcement Directorate he said attempts were on to suppress all those who opposed Modi and his party.
Addressing the media in Kozhikode, Chennithala said the unleashing of the Enforcement Directorate on opponents was just a sign of the terrible situation that awaits the country if Modi returns to power for a third time.
"Democracy in the country is under threat. The democracy that India is going to see could be the one seen in Russia and China. Modi is turning into a Vladimir Putin," said Chennithala.
