IAS probationer Puja Khedkar, who faces accusations of using fraudulent means to clear her civil services exam, has responded strongly to the charges and objected to the media trial.
"A media trial cannot pronounce me guilty," she told reporters. "Our Constitution is based on the premise, 'innocent till proven guilty'. So, the media trial is wrong," she reasoned.
Khedkar also said she will testify in front of the expert committee which has been asked to look into the matter and she will "accept the decision of the committee". "Whatever my submission is, I will give it in front of the committee and the truth will come out," she added. Meanwhile, details are surfacing about how Khedkar was going from pillar to post for procuring a disability certificate.
