Rajiv never sent ED, CBI to harass opposition: Uddhav

Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday said that in the past the undivided Shiv Sena and Congress were bitter rivals, but they never acted with towards each other.

Speaking at a 'Sadbhavana Diwas' event to mark the 80th birth anniversary of late Rajiv Gandhi, he also noted that central agencies never harassed Shiv Sena leaders even though party founder Bal Thackeray criticised the then prime minister in his speeches 'vindictiveness' Uddhav, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress state president Nana Patole, Congress in-charge Ramesh Chennithala and MLAs and MPs of Congress were present during the rally.

"Balasaheb used to target Congress harshly but there was no enmity in the hearts of ruling parties and opposition.

Rajivji never harassed the opposition by sending ED and CBI to shut the mouths of the opposition," said Uddhav.
