Very heavy rains in store for city; IMD issues orange alert

Maharashtra is expected to see heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and gusty winds over the next five days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Heavy rains hit Mumbai on Saturday, causing severe waterlogging and major traffic jams, and the city is expected to see more precipitation in the coming days.

Occasional gusty winds are expected, reaching speeds of 45-55 kilometre per hour.
