Wetlands stay, thanks to the SC

The immediate focus will be on the Maharashtra government regarding three ecologically significant wetlands in Navi Mumbai — NRI, DPS, and TS Chanakya

Gratitude is due to the Supreme Court of India for its order last Wednesday, which should go a long way in protecting wetlands across the country. The court not only directed state governments to act on this matter but also set a three-month deadline for the task's completion.
