The Congress on Monday again asked why the prime minister is continuing to "delay" the Census, which was last conducted in 2011 and is already 3.5 years late. It said there was still no sign of the Census happening despite its delay leading to over 10 crore Indians being denied benefits under the National Food Security Act, 2013 and PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana since the 2011 Census enumeration was still being used.
