Its shares were the biggest faller on the FTSE 100 index yesterday, initially dropping by 2.9%, and later trading 1.2% lower.
Barratt, Britain's biggest housebuilder, expects completed homes to drop by up to 7% to between 13,000 and 13,500 this year, down from 14,004 in the year to 30 June, citing "another year of economic and political uncertainty". That total was down by 18.6% from the previous year, when it built 17,206 homes.
