Woodside Animal Welfare Trust, which is based near Plympton, has said it will help dog owners if they are struggling to pay for their XL Bully's neutering.
It said it will subsidise the operation cost, which means owners will pay £150 for female dogs or £100 for male dogs. In a post shared on Facebook, the shelter said it would help people on benefits who live in Plymouth and the surrounding areas.
The full post read: "If you have an XL Bully and are on benefits struggling to pay for the neutering, we can help if you live in Plymouth and surrounding area. We will subsidise the operation cost:
