PASSENGERS in the South West are to be hit by days of rail disruption.
Train drivers will launch an overtime ban today, ahead of a series of fresh strikes which will cause travel chaos for passengers across the country.
Those travelling to Plymouth will face extensive cancellations on both Friday and Saturday with CrossCountry and Great Western hit by action on different days. Engineering works around Reading will cause further problems for passengers heading to the South West.
Passengers are being advised to check before they travel with members of Aslef bringing in the overtime ban from today until next Tuesday.
A strike on Friday will hit services including CrossCountry, while on Saturday train drivers will walk out on services including Great Western Railway.
