Yesterday’s victory away to Port Vale means today’s promotion parade will be even more joyous with chants of “we are the champions” ringing out across the city.
The waterfront and city centre are expected to be packed with jubilant members of the Green Army, thousands of whom made the long journey to the Potteries to witness the triumph first hand.
Many others crowded into Home Park where a big screen was erected so those unable to make the journey could share the momentous occasion as it happened.
