Argyle star spent time volunteering

FORMER Plymouth Argyle player Finn Azaz has revealed he was a volunteer for St Luke’s Hospice every Wednesday for five months, in a public farewell message.

The 23-year-old posted a message on Instagram where he described the experience as ‘very special for me and I will never forget the time I spent there’. He also praised the impact of the charity on people who need end-of-life care.

Penny Hannah, St Luke’s head of fundraising, told The Herald Azaz had ‘made a lasting impact on St Luke’s patients, supporters and staff.’

Azaz was recalled from a highly successful loan stint with Argyle by Premier League club Aston Villa at the start of January and sold to Middlesbrough in a £2.5 million deal.
