PILGRIMS BOSS UNDER NO ILLUSIONS AS TO THE IMPORTANCE OF HIGH NOON DEVON DERBY
CHRIS ERRINGTON
'BIGGEST GAME OF THE SEASON'

STEVEN Schumacher could not have been any clearer about his feelings as he called Plymouth Argyle’s Devon derby noon showdown away to Exeter City today the biggest game of the season. The Pilgrims are second in League One, a point behind leaders Sheffield Wednesday with a game in hand on them and a point above Ipswich Town on the same number of matches.

Argyle beat Exeter 4-2 at Home Park in front of the live SKY television cameras on a wet and windy night back in October, after twice falling behind, and their county rivals will be desperate to get a win at a sold out St James Park to put a dent in the Pilgrims’ push for promotion from League One.

Schumacher said: "It's the biggest game of the season. We have had our eye on it for a little while, now it's here. We are looking forward to it.
