DEVON-born newsreader and journalist Alexis Bowater has received an OBE for services to the safety and equality of women.
Campaigner Alexis collects her OBE

Ms Bowater, from Modbury, was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire by the Princess Royal in an investiture at Buckingham Palace yesterday. Ms Bowater began campaigning against violence against women after becoming a victim of stalking herself.
