The surprise of the evening saw Astor's defensive player John Sherlock defeated by Martin Parnell in a close match ending in a fifth end tiebreak 8-11, 11-5, 6-11, 11-8, 12-10.
A terrific evening with great matches started with Shopfitting By SWS A's Colin Mitchell taking a 2-0 lead over Crafthole A's Shirley Luckhurst only for Luckhurst to win the next three games 11-8, 14-12, 12-10.
