Keith and Bev Sibley said their 27-year-old son had driven on to their driveway with his daughter shortly before the huge tree in The Knoll, Plymouth, fell during the storm, crashing on to the car and ripping down a BT line.
The couple claim they have repeatedly warned Plymouth City Council the tree was going to fall - but were told it was 'safe! The incident comes just three months after they were sent an email from a local councillor who had taken up their complaint in late 2022 that the tree was at risk of falling.
