COUNCILLORS have been called to urgent talks on Plymouth's future. Plymouth City Council has summoned all 57 councillors to an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) at the Council House today (Thursday).
The council's chief executive Tracey Lee has written to all 57 councillors, who are expected to attend the 2pm meeting. It will discuss the English Devolution White Paper, which is set to create a seismic shake-up to local government, and could lead to more directly-elected mayors covering large areas.
