ROYAL William Yard developer Urban Splash wants to carve up the vast empty restaurant area in The Brewhouse into small shops.
The Manchester-headquartered company has submitted plans to rip out internal fittings and transform the unit that previously housed Las Iguanas and then The Club House.
The latter closed last July, after just two years of trading, for "commercial reasons". The 597 square metres unit has been empty since, despite Urban Splash saying there was interest from potential tenants.
Now the company, which has seen Prezzo and Hub Box restaurants close at the yard too, is proposing to divide up the huge ground floor space into smaller units. Plans submitted to Plymouth City Council show two alternatives.
