Famous wine expert died after 'traumatic' fall - inquest

STEPHEN Barrett, a hugely respected Plymouth restaurateur and wine expert, tragically died after suffering a 'traumatic' fall at home.

An inquest into the 77-year-old's death opened at Exeter Coroner's Court. The hearing heard that Mr Barrett, who was born in Nottingham and was single, was admitted to Plymouth's Derriford Hospital on August 18, following a fall at his home in Pound Street, Plymouth. He passed away that same day.
